Location
Hillcreston is located in a valley near the small township of Bigga.
The rolling hills of mostly granite country with some areas of basalt is ideal for the growing of superfine wool. Being in the catchment area of Wyangla dam the area is also very scenic with wildlife abundant, Hillcreston is very conscious of enviromental issues with a family of Platypuses being discovered breeding in a regenerated area of the waterways on Hillcreston recently.
Situated between the southern and Central Tablelands areas of N.S.W. Hillcreston is 700 meters above sea level with an average rainfall of 750mm. The temperature range is quite varied with minus temperatures and snow falls during the winter to days over 40 degrees during summer possible.
